2006-05-14 [Avoral]: I do see where [Tex] is coming from, though--There really are a lot of mainstream kids who try too hard to be Japanese, and throw around the nationalistic hubris in an attempt to exalt their culture as much more than it is. I've seen many a dumpy white guy who claims martial expertise, gets all condescending on me when I say something from experience that doesn't click with the Websites/books he's read, and thinks of some BS reason when I beat the everliving fuck out of him in sparring. Usually "I wasn't trying" or "I only experience my true power when I'm angry." Little tip--Your opponent usually isn't trying his hardest either. But [Tex] was misdirected in pinpointing Nekko.
